Roles within DRUSM

Roles within the Organization

Although all capsuleers are commanders and pilots of ships, there are divisions for organization and recognition of achievement and experience, both as capsuleers and as members of Drusus Mercenaries.

Drusus Mercenaries has a few different layers of organization. DRUSM is divided into divisions of operations, member roles and into project groups and functional areas.

First and foremost, Drusus Mercenaries is categorized into divisions of operation. These divisions of operation as follows: Imperial, Field, Escort, Support, Mining and Logistical Operations.

Imperial Operations

Imperial operations focus on actions taking place in the four empires. Imperial Operations include performing missions, salvaging, exploring, archeology, surveying, and hacking.

Field Operations

Field operations focus on actions taking place in null security space. Field Operations include colonizing moons, gathering resources, and developing links to other organizations. Although very likely to be a small operations set at first, field operations are likely to expand as Drusus Mercenaries grows as an organization.

Escort Operations

While likely to be slow to develop as a full-fledged operation, Escort operations may one day become a staple of Drusus Mercenaries. It is for this operation that the organization is named; in this case, in providing escort duty in high security space from one place to another for organizations in need. As DRUSM grows, this may be one of the most expansive fields for capsuleers to consider in their path choice.

Mining Operations

Straightforward and simple, mining operations will be a backbone of DRUSM. Without ore, without resources, operations grind to a halt. Working closely with logistical operations, mining ops will be one of the key components to the success of DRUSM.

Support Operations

Support operations personnel specialize in assisting members of Drusus Mercenaries with backup, mobile ship repair, and fleet coordination. Working closely with all operations of DRUSM, support operations ensures that the efficiency and efficacy of fleet operations are at their maximum.

Logistical Operations

Logistical operations serve an important role: getting goods from one place to another. Without logistics, mining grinds to halt, ammunition cannot be moved to new locations, and starbases cannot be transported. Logistical operations work closely with all divisions of the organization, especially support operations.

Research and Development - A small, specialized field, R+D tends to be focused on either blueprint mastery or the esoteric curiosities of T3 technology. R+D works closely with production, mining, and imperial operations.

Production - A field with many specialized subfields, production focuses on creating goods for the purposes of corporate consumption and for the retail market. Production specialists usually possess a passing understanding blueprint research in their field, as well as advanced refining and production skills.
