Expectations

Expectations

Beyond the goals of the organization, the rules and regulations, and the norms and values introduced, there are specific player and character expectations:

Player Expectations:

Players are expected to follow the rules, regulations, and membership requirements of Drusus Mercenaries. Players are expected to seek to help fulfill the goals of Drusus Mercenaries, and be flexible when those goals change. Players can expect that our values will NOT change, and that we will be careful in altering our focus and updating our goals at all times. Players can reasonably expect that relevant new information will posted to the website periodically, at least once per week, if relevant to the fundamentals of Drusus Mercenaries. Minor updates and changes will first be posted in the corporation memo section.

Character expectations:

Characters are expected to choose an MOS path with Drusus Mercenaries, as explained in the Paths section of the website. This career path can be changed with time and experience, but it is expected that characters will reasonably follow their role, and that when called to duty that they will be prepared to answer.

The call of duty as currently defined will only apply to characters who are online and currently active. Characters that are inactive or otherwise engaged will not be called online, in order to preserve the goals of Drusus Mercenaries of dedicated harmony; real life should not be supplanted by a game, no matter how fun.

That said, characters that are a part of Drusus Mercenaries should be reasonably productive when online. It is not necessary that characters are always producing, performing missions, or earning their living at every moment of every session, but it is expected that they engage in their duties a majority of the time.

This is dependent on the character and their duties; a fighter is expected to be able to be called to escort duty when it is available and they are online, while a commando should be ready to be called to null security space to fight in some conflict or serve the interests of Drusus Mercenaries. A miner, by contrast, might be expected to be in the business of gathering ore, and depositing some small amount into the corporation hangers once per month.

These requirements will be dependent on rank and MOS. They are intended to be minor in scope, so as not to impinge on the overall productivity and personal success, as well as time spent online, of each particular capsuleer.
