The following paths are possible choices for individual capsuleers. They are not restricted to high or null security space specifically; rather, their overt roles are what determine their general field of operations. For example, a soldier will generally be found in high security space, doing missions; however, experienced soldiers may also be found in null-sec, killing NPC pirates for bounties and salvage as their primary role.
In general, any member of DRUSM may participate in a variety of activities, in high, low, or null security space. However, they will often be found in their primary role. In short, the path is an MOS that determines function within DRUSM, but which does not dictate all personal activities.
In terms of organization, members will often be grouped into squads based on their general sphere of operations.
Imperial Operations
Soldier – This path is focused on one activity: performing missions. An important part of raising funds for themselves and the organization, soldiers earn their fortune and fame through efforts in missions. They assist nonspecialists in mission efforts, and in their mission coordination in high security space.
Field Specialist – This path is specialized in the retrieval of valuable goods in the field. This includes salvage, archeology, hacking, surveying. A field specialist is focused particularly on skills related to the retrieval of field materials, and works closely with soldiers, commandos, fighters and the like to ensure that nothing valuable is left behind.
Field Operations
All paths in field operations are specialized mercenary paths. Dedicated primarily to ensuring the safe refuel of starbases, mining operations in null security, and in general securing the interests of DRUSM.
Commando – Focused on assault and combat, commandoes fight the causes of DRUSM in the dark skies of null security space.
Interdictor – This path is specialized in one thing: the interdiction of ships in null security space. From interceptors to heavy interdictors, interdictors specialize in the field of electronic warfare.
Infiltrator – This path is focused primarily on reconnaissance, with an emphasis on stealth and destructive force. Similar to Reconnaissance in their focus, Infiltrators also assist in combat in null security space if necessary.
Escort Operations
Fighter – The mainstay of Drusus Mercenaries, fighters act as escorts for the non-combatant roles of DRUSM, as well as mercenary escorts for if and when DRUSM takes on an escort job for another organization. Fighters are primarily employed in high security space, but if necessary they can be deployed in null security space to escort non-combatant members. In addition, escorts will occasionally be called on as volunteers to field operations.
Reconnaissance – Scouts for escort operations, reconnaissance specialists often fly cloaked and unseen, scouting ahead for fighters in their operations, from high security space to null sec. Unlike Escorts, Reconnaissance personnel are never intended to be seen. They are the eyes and ears of DRUSM. If necessary, members of reconnaissance will be attached to other divisions as scouts.
Mining Operations
Mining Specialist – Specialized in one of three fields: common ore, ice, and rare ore.
Heavy Mining Specialist – A general mining specialist, heavy mining specialists also act as combat support in emergencies situations, and when fighters are unavailable for escort.
Support Operations
Support operations provide three purposes: ship support, backup, and fleet coordination.
Imperial Support – Imperial support provides aid to members in high security space, especially in escort operations.
Field Support – Imperial support provides aid to members in high security space, especially in escort operations.
Mining Foreman – Imperial support provides aid to members in high security space, especially in escort operations.
Fleet Support – Fleet support provides aid to members in high and low security space, especially in escort operations.
Fleet Commander – Fleet booster support to provide aid to members involved in fleet combat.
Logistical Operations
Logistical operations move essentials from one place to another. In addition, they ensure that goods are produced and up to par. This path serves an important role in trade and in logistics, for the organization and for fellow members.
Light Logistical Support – This path provides covert logistical support of all sorts: supplies, fuel, ammunition, and even trade goods. They often move in high, low, and null security space, depending on the needs of the organization, and the situation at hand.
Heavy Logistical Support – This path provides high-grade logistical support of all sorts: supplies, fuel, ammunition, and even trade goods. Often traveling in small groups with combat logistical support, and in large groups with fighters for support, heavy logistical support personnel provides transportation assistance of all sorts, especially in high security space.
Combat Logistical Support – Skilled in highly developed transportation assistance, in addition to some combat abilities, combat logistical support provides travel assistance – and fire power – depending on the needs of fellow members, and the availability of fighter mercenaries.
